You know, it's strange... I've spent a _lot_ of time in the woods, day & night. I've heard these many times, and lamented the fact that I'd never found one in the wild, not for lack of looking. One morning in October '08, a pair of them take up in a tree along side my house. I noticed it fly past the kitchen window as I was having breakfast. They hung out for at least an hour, while I circled around the back of the house, crawled under the deck on my belly, and excitedly snapped a few (hundred...) pictures. A treat, for sure.
