I'd been out since dawn photographing Northern Gannets. The cold wind was merciless, as usual at the extreme tip of Sandy Hook. Seeking shelter, I had my back against a dune, with the sun behind me. I noticed a speck in the distance, moving across the dunes, growing larger as it approached. This handsome lass never saw me until she heard the shutter...
