When I look back on 2009, I think I'll always remember my wedding (of course ;-)) and this night. A group of great guys, from diverse backgrounds, wandering through a huge vernal pool in the Pine Barrens, literally in the middle of nowhere. Armed with flashlights, chest waders, and cameras, we momentarily intruded in the nocturnal world of these unbelievable creatures, witnessing a play acted out on a muggy spring night since time immemorial. The frogs began to sing shortly after sunset, and we could hear them making their way through the thicket of blueberry & mountain laurel towards the water. Witnessing these splendid, endangered animals in their last true remaining habitat was a privilege I will always cherish...
