OK. I know I said this wouldn't be a site w/ 100 pictures of every species on the planet. But this little guy is such a poser, I just can't help myself. I've spend over a hundred hours with this wren, at or near his cave. He seems to jump up & down w/ excitement when he sees me. OK, yeah, I anthropomorphize a lot, or so my friends tell me. In any case, I hadn't been to his "cave" since November, it's now early March. Did this Winter Wren overwinter here in central NJ? Not sure, but I'll bet he/she will raise a family here this spring.
