This was taken at the Assunpink WMA. This is a natural perch, growing wild in the middle of a field. Spent many long, hot July mornings hunkered down in the grass on this hillside, these birds eventually got very used to me. So, apparently, did the paper wasps. I'd literally almost been sitting on their nest in a clump of grass. Inches away, for hours, never knew they were there...
